Funding

NEMAF performs its activities by generating funds from different sources. It accepts grants from various national and international organisations or individuals, but it does not compromise the overall vision, mission and goal of NEMAF.

NEMAF is currently implementing Strengthening Critical Mass of Civil Society in Madhesh/Terai since June 2011 under DanidaHUGOU strategic partnership. It engages the civil society of Madhesh/Terai in the researched based dialogues and interactions, advocacy activities and publications. The activities are chiefly pertaining to security, good governance, social harmony and contemporary issues.

Similarly, from 2008 to 2010 NEMAF conducted several national, regional and district level dialogues and workshops:

  • Idea Sharing on Federalism, Local Level Interaction on Draft Reports on CA Thematic Committee, Civic Education on Constitutional and Federalism Issues and Sharing of Inputs and Suggestions of the Regional Level Workshop with CA Members under the support of gtz/FSP from 2008 to 2010,
  • Armed Violence in Terai with Saferworld, Small Arm Survey and Interdisciplinary Analyst in 2010,
  • Mass Information for the Conflict Resolution in Terai Region of Nepal with Nepal National Commission for UNESCO in 2011,
  • Promoting Human Rights and Better Governance by Strengthening Civil Society in the Madhesh/Terai with DanidaHUGOU in 2010.
